Maternity Session in Snohomish, WA

Ummmm, aren't these two so cute?! Kusum and her sweet husband Vinay are such kind and beautiful people inside and out.

If you don't recognize her yet, the lovely Kusum is a Seattle Lifestyle Blogger (www.sveeteskapes.com / IG @sveeteskapes) and this past August 2016, I took a chance and emailed her to see if she would ever want to collaborate on fashion shoot. To my pleasant surprise, she took me up on my offer. We waited months to meet up due to both of our travel and work schedules in the early fall, but on a super cold day in November we finally got together and had a lot fun getting to know each other in person after chatting over email and Instagram for months.

It was at the end of our first shoot that we planned our next shoot which would this beautiful pregnancy announcement session. I was blown away that after only working together for a couple of hours she wanted me to help her capture a huge milestone in her and Vinay's life! So we met up again a few week later on another cold day to capture these loving moments and something magical happened that day…it started snowing! Although these two were freezing during the session, you couldn't tell by the pics. Their smiles and happiness exuberate some much love and warmth.

Over the past few months, Kusum has become such a dear friend and I couldn't be more thrilled for her and Vinay and the arrival of their first born this spring. And I love that both of them are keeping the gender of the baby as an element of surprise for their friends and family, hence the yellow color palette theme. :) -We live in a tell all society these days, so I can only imagine keeping this secret for so long is no easy task! Need-less-to-say I can't wait to meet their little bundle of joy!
